Papa Roach - Scars
I originally planned on doing this song as soon as i heard the project because this is one of my favourite songs. The song to me has lots of meanings and the lyrics talk of different emotions and are sung in a very distinctive way. The video has a strong story line and follows the lyrics well. This song really appeals to me because it can be interpreted in many different ways and i feel that producing a video for this would be a better experience and more exciting than other songs.
The second song i considered was
Madina Lake - One More Kiss
This song seemed like a good choice to me because i felt that the song had good lyrics and a video to represent them would be easy to make. The video itself is good because it follows the song well and has good editing techiques in it. The video is paced well and does not feel like it is rushed which is good. Another good thing about this video is the fact that there is a good equal mix of shots of just the band then shots of the storyline.
The third and final song i could choose is
Newton Faulkner - Dream Catch Me
This song really appealed to me from the start because the video is simple yet very effective and contains lots of emotion. I like the song especially because it is simple and calming but has so much depth to the lyrics. The video I feel is key to the song because it shows the emotions of the lyrics and makes them feel human. I also like the video because it seems like it is shot very simply but it done very professionally.
